printweet 0.2
If you don't remember, printweet is supposed to be my really simple, customizable way to display a twitter status.
I spent some time working on it yesterday and today. I changed my twitter username and thought about how the process is pretty seamless on twitter. I decided that the process should be seamless in printweet, too. I made some changes to printweet so that it still accepts a username and gets the statuses using the username, but after that it uses numeric IDs. For this reason, version 0.2 is incompatible with 0.1. If anyone used 0.1, they'll need to change the user database column to a number type, like bigint.
The other change I made involves URLs. In 0.1, a URL would be HTML-ified only if it was a completely valid URL (URI?) and included the "http"/"file"/etc. part. With 0.2, example.com will become example.com. Actually, any sequence of any sequence of letters/numbers/dashes and a period followed by one of the general TLDs listed on wikipedia (or any two-letter sequence) not followed by more letters, a quotation mark, or a less-than sign will be HTML-ified.
The only things I really want to change with printweet before the 1.0 release are the lack of error checking and the need to create the table manually.
